Brian Lee Whitfield, 38, of Davenport, Iowa went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Genesis East Davenport, Iowa. A Homegoing Service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Gospel Mission Temple, 5074 North Pine in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation is one hour before the funeral, 10:00 a.m. Our Beloved Bishop J.R. Brian Lee Whitfield was born January 20, 1980, in Davenport, Iowa to his father and mother Willie and Barbara Whitfield. His father Willie later married Jutta Whitfield (Brian Whitfield's step mother).
Brian accepted Christ at an early age. He joined Gospel Mission Temple where he was baptized. He loved God. Brian loved his children and enjoyed being with family and friends. He also liked fishing. Brian worked at Best Buy and American Legal Process Service along with his dad.
Brian is survived by his parents, Barbara Diane Whitfield, Willie (Jutta) Whitfield, his four children, Brianna Low (Mother Anna Lawson), Teagan, Torrie, and Isabella Whitfield (Mother Erin Cummings). His siblings include Delores Donelson (Aundre), Willie Lohse (Rose), Jenny Whitfield and Stephanie Whitfield. His Nieces and Nephews include Aundre Jr., Aundreona, Alexia, Shaniah, Shianne, D'Ante, J'Lynn, Faithe, Rayelynn, and Micaiah. His Aunts include: Castella, Nora, Ella Mae, Bessie, Esther, Linda, Rosie, Nylon, Barbara, Remale, and Lula. His Uncles include: Melvin, Henry, Rev. Lonnie Whitfield, and Ray. And a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Horace Whitfield, Sr, Grandmother Cassie Whitfield, Grandmother Anna Carlson, Uncle Nate, Uncle Horace Whitfield, Jr., Uncle Jimmy, and cousins, Archie and Danny.
