Muncie-Phyllis J. Jones, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, February 12, 2018, at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born on Wednesday, June 7, 1933, the daughter of Elmer and Irene Morris.
Phyllis retired from Ball State University Dining Services.
She was saved by Grace, attended Muncie First Baptist Church, and was a member of the Ball State University Sympathy Club.
Phyllis was a prayer warrior and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry E. Jones, Jr. and Jeff (Janice) Jones; brothers, Larry (Marlene) Morris, Dennis (Nola) Morris, and Tom (Dorothy) Morris; sister, Shirley Martin; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Boone and Marylou.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry E. Jones, Sr., son, Bill D. Jones; daughter, Tammy Jones; granddaughter, Chrissy Jones, and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304, with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating.
Visitation will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
