MUSCATINE, Iowa - Rose M. LoBianco, 96, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at her home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Mathias Church. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, and Anthony Gaeta, John Lorentzen, and Adam Jones. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will follow at Gannon Hall following the committal service.

Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home with a Rosary Prayer Service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in her memory to Muscatine Boy Scout Troop 783, to be used for her grandson's Eagle Scout Project which is to replace the rose garden gazebo at Weed Park or to the Ss. Rose was born on June 2, 1921, in Muscatine, the daughter of Louis C. and Filippa Cirivello Gaeta. She married Charles LoBianco on July 23, 1950, at the St. Mathias Church in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2008.

She was a homemaker and had worked for Muscatine General Hospital for a period of time. She was a member of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish, Altar and Rosary Committee. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, baking and making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. She loved her family deeply and especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Salvatore LoBianco and wife, Stephanie, of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Margaret, Rachel, and Thomas LoBianco; one brother, Phillip Gaeta Sr. of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Louis LoBianco; four brothers, Carmelo, Joseph, Charles, and Vincent Gaeta; and two sisters, Providence and Mary Gaeta.
