George's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM.

George Norton, 64, of New Paltz died Monday February 12, 2018 at home. Born November 1, 1953 in Kingston, a son of the late George and Johanna "Joan" (Enright) Norton.
A firearm's enthusiast, George was employed by Dunbar Armored Car as a courier. Spending time with his daughter and granddaughter whom he adored and his friends was the highlight of his life. He was a member of Cordts Hose.
Surviving is his daughter, Rhiannon Norton of Athens; his granddaughter, Aaliyah Norton; his brothers, Donald Norton and his wife Gail, Vincent Norton (Jan Lifer); his sister, Dianne Mills and her husband Peter; his former wife, Lisa Norton. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
