James "Jim" Craven, 61, of Kersey, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 in Johnstown, Colorado. He was born on September 1, 1956 to Vernon and Betty (Drewer) Craven in Greeley, Colorado.

Jim was a very ambitious man who loved his life long career as a farmer, and was exceptionally talented with his woodwork. He was a thrill seeker and enjoyed water skiing and snowmobiling. Also he loved football and playing cards with his community family. Jim had many friends over the years; he became a father figure and a best friend to his grandson Christian. He wore his heart on his shoulders and adored his grandchildren. Jim loved his family and was always willing to help in anyway that he could, he was a honorable man. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Jim is survived by his children, Terri Craven (Jeff Lang), Amanda Craven (Kendell Grauberger); grandchildren, Christian, Morgan and Gage Craven; siblings, Kathy Dilbeck, Nancy (Phillip) Becker and his best friend Tim Hunteman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Max Craven.

Celebration of life for Jim will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at noon at the Eagles Club, 601 N 2nd St LaSalle Co 80645.
