Patricia M. Mason
March 21, 1934 - February 10, 2018

MADISON - Patricia M. "Pat" Mason, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Madison. She was born in Milford, IL., on March 21, 1934, the daughter of Vance and Elizabeth (Miller) McFann.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, John Mason; and daughter, Monica (Larry) Thuet of Glenview, IL. Cherished grandmother to Allison, Margot and Lauren Thuet. Dear sister of Rosalee Kearney, of Bloomington, IL and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lloyd McFann.

Pat received her Bachelor degree from Purdue University in 1956 and became an elementary school teacher. Pat married John Mason in 1961 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview, IL. and lived there before settling in Madison, WI in 1972. Pat was a loving mother and wife and was very active in her community. She was a member and volunteer with many organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Attic Angels, Edgewood High School, Nakoma Golf Club Women's Organization, Queen of Peace Church, and the Wisconsin P.E.O. Chapter. She loved the friends she made supporting causes dear to her heart, and also created many decades of memories with her friends playing in various bridge groups, being part of book club, playing countless rounds of golf, and traveling with John and friends to many places around the world. Her smile and energy were always visible and lifted the spirits of anyone who came in contact with her. We wish to thank the staff of Brightstar Senior Living who took loving care of Pat in her last years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 405 S. Owen Dr., Madison, on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Mass.
