Maria "Zulema" Gutierrez, born on September 20, 1938 in Laredo, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on February 12, 2018. Daughter of Pedro Brooks and Gregoria Carrisalez. On February 16, 1970, she married Frank B. Gutierrez in Greeley. She worked as a sterile processor at Banner Health for many years while raising her family. She had a love of gardening seeing her beautiful flowers was proof of her green thumb. She had a passion for animals and donated to many charities. Above all, she loved cats and her little dog, Bella which was her mom's dog. She was a collector, which would explain her interest in bargain stores. She...
Maria "Zulema" Gutierrez, born on September 20, 1938 in Laredo, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on February 12, 2018. Daughter of Pedro Brooks and Gregoria Carrisalez.
On February 16, 1970, she married Frank B. Gutierrez in Greeley. She worked as a sterile processor at Banner Health for many years while raising her family.
She had a love of gardening seeing her beautiful flowers was proof of her green thumb. She had a passion for animals and donated to many charities. Above all, she loved cats and her little dog, Bella which was her mom's dog. She was a collector, which would explain her interest in bargain stores.
She is survived by her sons Joe Gutierrez, Peter Gutierrez and Benny (Kimberly) Gutierrez all of Greeley; four brothers Frank Gutierrez, Clem Gutierrez, Raymond (Maria Guadalupe) Gutierrez and George Gutierrez; 13 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank B. Gutierrez; her mother Gregoria Carrisalez; two sons Danny and Leroy Gutierrez and one daughter Mary Ann Gutierrez. She will be truly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Liturgical service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
