Marlene M. Motley
December 10, 1942 - February 13, 2018

Marlene M. Motley, age 75, of Rochester, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital - St. Marys Campus. The memorial mass will be at 11:00 am on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at a later date in St. Felix Catholic Cemetery in Wabasha.
Marlene Mary Meyer was born on December 10, 1942, to Clarence and LaVina (Koob) Meyer. She graduated from Wabasha High School. On April 1, 1967, Marlene was united in marriage to Thomas Motley in Wabasha. During the years Tom was in the service, they moved to Georgia, California, Virginia and later moved to Rochester in 1987. Marlene worked as a clerk for Hallmark and also for the Wabasha clinic. She enjoyed going to casinos, reading romance books, crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by her son, Tom (Krystal) Motley of Rochester; grandchildren, Kasey, Ryan, Maiah, Alexa, Kadence and Tyler; siblings, Carol Meyer of Plainview, Janice (Bernie) Erpelding of Winona, Jerry Meyer of Rochester, Helen Brohez of Savage, Mary Lou Delaney of Rochester, Paul (Martha) Meyer of Wabasha and Don Meyer of New Jersey.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Thomas who died in 2008; her son, Dan Motley who died in 2008 and her parents.

"I was a dialysis nurse and helped care for Marlene. She was a wonderful lady with an immeasurable love for her family. She spoke often of her grandchildren and how special they were to her. My deepest condolences. Rest in peace, Marlene."
