Deanne M. Hrdlicka
June 27, 1939 - February 16, 2018

Deanne "Dee" Marie (Hanson) Hrdlicka, age 78, passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2018, at the Season's Hospice House in Rochester.
Born on June 27th, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, Dee was raised with her brother Bob, and her cousin Margie. She graduated from Lakeview High School, class of January 1957, and went on to graduate from the Chicago Institute of Art with a bachelor's degree in dress design. On June 11th, 1966 she married Donald "Don" Hrdlicka. They adopted their daughter, Deanne in 1972, moved to Minnesota in 1975, and lived most of their lives together in Faribault. After Don's passing in 1982, Dee worked in banking and as a Financial Worker with Rice County until her retirement in 2003. Upon her retirement, she moved to Rochester where she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, singing in various choirs, playing bridge with friends, and participating in a variety of activities at the Senior Center. In 2012, Dee moved to The Homestead of Rochester where she made an abundance of wonderful friends with whom she enjoyed quilting, dining, singing, playing cards, and delightful companionship. In June of 2017, Dee moved from the Homestead to live with her daughter and grandchildren. She was showered with love, surrounded by laughter, dined on her favorite foods, enjoyed good wine, and was visited by friends and family often. On January 18th, Dee was moved to the Seasons Hospice House in Rochester where she spent her final days.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Deanne (Hrdlicka) Breitenbach of Rochester; her grandchildren, Bailey, Sam, and Nick; her 'honorary daughter' Stacy (Peterson) Zabel of Medford; her 'honorary' grandchildren, Alex, Alyssa, Eliot, and Ethan; her 'honorary' great-grandchildren, Savannah and Emmett; her brother, Robert (Dee) Hanson of Illinois; her cousin Margie (Christ) Fillip; Neices, Nephews, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hrdlicka; Mother, Alice Milakovic; and Father, Harry Hanson.
A special thank you to all of the staff and volunteers with Seasons Hospice who took such excellent care of Dee throughout her final months.

"Dede and family, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I knew your mom (and you!) through the different musicals and shows that we staged in Faribault. Dee brought such a great energy with her and it rubbed off on all in her presence. -Mike Lambert"
