Matilda Marra Freda, age 84, of the Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Township, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.
Matilda was born in Newark and spent most of her life there until moving to the Toms River area 24 years ago. She worked as an assembler for Kearfott Manufacturing in Newark for 7 years.
Matilda's greatest joys were her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Dominick and Philomena Marra, her husband Frank C. Freda and her daughter Phyllis Ann Sceurman. Surviving are her sons Robert Freda and Frank Freda; grandchildren Michael Sceurman and his wife Kristen, Daniel Sceurman and his wife Jillian, Jennifer Freda and her wife Maria and Anthony Freda; great grandchildren Kellan, Ronan and Alexa Sceurman.
Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:30AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, Berkeley Township. A committal service will be held Monday, March 5, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
