Gina Christine Collins was born August 18, 1972 in Humboldt. She was raised in Fort Dodge where she graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1991 and then received a degree in business from Buena Vista in 2000. She later finished her nursing degree and became an RN.
Her firstborn son, Braden, was born in 1997. In 2003 she was united in marriage to Nathan Eichelberger. Together they had another son, Hunter. They moved to Minnesota, Georgia, and finally landed in Omaha, NE where they made a home for over 10 years. Gina was dedicated to her children, even their friends. She became a "second mom" to many and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, food, fun, and a place to stay as long as you wanted. She showered so many with gifts, especially her beloved nephews and niece. Her incessant desire for smiles, laughter and fun drew in so many friends who have remained life-long. She was a doting caretaker by nature, as a nurse, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Gina had the most beautiful smile and spirit, which will last much longer than her years.
Gina is survived by her husband, Nathan Eichelberger; children, Braden; Hunter; mother, Sherry (Mike) Ruge of Ankeny; sister, Heidi (Pat) Rial of Bondurant; nephews, Jordan, Chase and Levi and niece, Melia Rial all of Bondurant. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Collins; sister, Melissa Collins; and niece, Nicole Rial.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the charity of your choice.
