MUSCATINE, Iowa - Grace J. Honts, 83, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, peacefully at her home.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Darryl Erickson will officiate Burial will take place in Parr Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at the funeral home. Grace was born on May 5, 1934, in Muscatine, the daughter of Lester 'Jim' and Lillian Figgins Eis. She married Robert L. Honts on January 8, 1950, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2010.

She was a homemaker, worked for Wonder Bread, and for Weber Button Company. She attended Melpine School, attended many open houses with friends of Melpine, and shared many stories. Grace was a member of Calvary Church, loved her friends and family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to country music and talking on the telephone.

Grace is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Jacobs of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Ronnie Wagner Jr. of Fruitland, and Daniela Jacobs Bieri of Muscatine; five great-grandchildren, Tyus, Sydni, and Trey Wagner, Kendall McKasson, and Zack Bieri; two sisters, Betty VanWey of Muscatine, and Nancy Ripperger of Blue Grass; four sisters-in-law, Vera Eis of Blue Grass, Donna Mae Grace, Carolyn Conlin, and Phyllis Honts, all of Muscatine; two brothers-in-law, Donnie Honts of Fruitland, and Frank Honts of Muscatine; and two step-sisters, Norma Faulkner and Maxine Wilson, both of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Eis and Lillian Franklin; her step-father, Alfred 'Bud' Franklin; her husband, Bob; her daughter, Patty Wagner; two sons-in-law, Ron Wagner Sr. and Don Jacobs; two sisters, Wanda Honts and Lorine Weiland; four brothers, Walter 'Pete', Junior, Bert, and Earl Eis; two step-brothers; and two step-sisters.
