In loving memory of

Daniel Ozuna
January 10, 1931 - February 28, 2018

Weslaco- Daniel B Ozuna, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. He was born on January 10th, 1931 in Donna, TX to Felix and Luisa Ozuna. He grew up in Donna with his brother, Webster, and sister, Olga.

Daniel joined the US Army and served in the Korean War. He returned home and married Teodocia Ozuna. They enjoyed sixty years of marriage. They raised their four children in Weslaco and Daniel worked very hard to provide for the family. He worked for Texas Plastics in Edcouch for many years and then Pepsi-Co Warehouse in Harlingen. Most people will remember him from Weslaco ISD, where he retired after working for many years as a security guard.

Although Daniel did not have the opportunity to have a high school education, he knew the value and he made sure to work as hard as he could so that he could save enough money to send his children to college.

When Daniel was not working, he did love to have a good time. He enjoyed barbequing for his friends and spending time with his family. Daniel was a simple man who always put his wife's and children's needs before his own. He will always be remembered as an example of hard work, dedication, and commitment. He sacrificed so that his children would succeed and was a role model as a husband and father.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Luisa Ozuna, and his loving wife of 60 years, Teodocia.

He is survived by his children, Frank Alton and his wife Olga of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Oscar Ozuna of (Ofelia) La Feria, his sister Olga Ozuna and brother, Webster (Janie) Ozuna both of Donna.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2nd, from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 10 am, at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
