Craig D. Morris
August 24, 1961 - February 28, 2018

Craig D. Morris, age 57, of Brick went home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Neptune, he grew up in Tinton Falls and after college he lived in Delaware and Maryland for many years before returning to Brick in 2014.

While living in Maryland, he worked as a counselor for special needs children. Prior to that, he was the proprietor of "Strictly Stripping", a floor stripping business based in Bear, Delaware.

Craig accepted Christ at a young age, and served the Lord faithfully until his illness prevented him from attending on a regular basis. In his youth, he was a member of the Refreshing Springs Holy Temple, Long Branch, NJ. Upon returning to New Jersey after living out of state for several years, he became a member of the Sixth Street Baptist Church, Lakewood.
Craig was an All-American Track star at Monmouth Regional High School, and was a two time NJ State Champion in the Intermediate and High Hurdles. He went on to Villanova University, where he was a standout member of their track team before receiving his bachelor's degree. He later attended and graduated from Wilmington College, where he earned two master's degrees.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Louise (McClean) Morris in 2008, his brother, James Morris in 1976, and by his nephew, Robert Harbour in 2006. Surviving are his brothers, Kenneth Morris of Shallotte, NC, and Rev. Robert Morris and his wife Cheryl of Brick; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Sixth Street Baptist Church, 15 6th Street, Lakewood.
