ELAINE AMFAHR
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Elaine Amfahr, 92, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Mathias Church. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.
Elaine was born on November 1, 1925, in Waterloo, the daughter of Arnold and Grace Carr Wilson. She married Durward Kerr in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Louis Amfahr on August 30, 1975, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a member of Ss. Mary and Mathias Church. Elaine was a resident of Muscatine for the past 5 years, she was formerly of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Jesup, Iowa. She loved to read and shop.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Dave Kerr and wife, Joni, of Muscatine; step children, Sharon Felsing, of Bettendorf, Janice Holtz and husband, John, of Edgewood, Iowa, and Dale Amfahr and wife, Nancy, of Belton, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and both husbands.
