In loving memory of

Jane Elisabeth Masters
July 30, 1962 - February 28, 2018

Jane Elisabeth Masters, 55, of Hubbard, NE, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Jane was born on July 30, 1962, to Donald and Catherine Langle in Sioux City, Iowa. On December 6, 1986, she married Todd G. Masters. Although Jane shared her smile with many customers over the years, including at St. Luke's Hospital and Four Seasons Health Club, she found most enjoyment in raising her boys, taking care of her home, and being involved in the Hubbard community. It did not make a difference who you were, or where you were from, once you got to know Jane, your life became a little fuller, brighter, and richer.

Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she adored her family and friends and she was beloved by them. Her heartfelt smile and laughter lit up many lives and filled her home with joy. Jane loved Jesus Christ and enjoyed spending time in prayer at Kramper Lake near Hubbard. In addition to being a faithful servant of God, Jane enjoyed many hobbies. She loved singing, studying the Bible, gardening, cooking healthy meals, writing children's books, puzzling with family at holiday gatherings, and traveling. Jane's last vacation was a memorable one where she heard elk bugling in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. She also enjoyed traveling to San Antonio with her husband to enjoy massages and strolling on the city's River Walk.

Jane is survived by her husband Todd; her sons, Chris (Missy), of Parker, CO and Donovan (Izzy) of Lawton, IA; and grandsons William and Fernando. She is also survived by her father, Donald Langle of South Sioux City; brother, Tim (Victoria) Langle of Whittier, CA; sister, Carol Voss (Milan) of Waterbury; brother, Donny (Heather) Langle of Lake Arrowhead, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim; and mother, Catherine.

As Jane wished, funeral services will be private. A celebration of life reception will be held at the Hubbard Community Center on Wednesday, March 7, starting at 3:30 pm. Private family interment will be at Omaha Valley Cemetery near Homer, Nebraska. Mohr Funeral Home of South Sioux City is handling arrangements.

"I went to school with Jane in Merrill and Le Mars. We would visit each other and talk on the phone. She even picked one of my farm cats to be hers. She kept it at the farm, as someone in her family had an allergy I think. I would run into her in SSC Wal-Mart. A very gentle soul. Heaven is surely her home now!!!"

"What a beautiful memory and so well written! I met Jane 17 years ago when I married Todd's uncle, and although we had only phone conversations for the most part due the distance between us, we became very good friends and I will miss those talks and the visits when her and Todd came to Omaha. My heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Todd, Chris and Donovan, and her entire family. She was definitely one you could all be so very proud of, Mary and Don Cable"
