Helen Marcella Peterson, 103, of Houston, MN, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Valley View Health and Rehab. She was born December 29, 1914 to James and Margaret McMorrow in Houston, MN. She married Eldon Peterson. They had two sons, Lyle and Everet. Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houston and served as secretary of the Lady's Guild in 1956. Helen worked for many local families over the years cleaning houses and worked at the Hardware Store in Houston. She enjoyed her time with family and friends, craft work, scrap booking, playing cards, gardening, and flowers.
Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lorna Peterson; niece-in-law, Jean Halverson and her sons, Dennis, Jim and David. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; sons, Lyle, Everet; siblings, Lyle, Ron, and Louie; nephew, Ron Halverson.
A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 7 with visitation one hour prior at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houston. Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
