Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Marie Dale, age 75, of Rickman, will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Eugene McCowan will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of the service.
Opal passed from this life on Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 from her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Putnam County, Tennessee on May 16, 1942 to the late Fred and Gracie Couch Emberton. She was a Christian in faith. She worked in a candy factory for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, working in her flowers, cleaning, decorating, and her jewelry. She loved her family most of all.
She is survived by her husband, James Leon Dale of Rickman, TN; daughters, Donna Faye Goodman of Rickman, TN and Chyanne Dale of Rickman, TN; grandchildren, Mike Stocker, Christopher Goodman, and Tabatha Miller; and sister, Billie Bilbrey of Monterey, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda Kaye Dale; brother, James Henry Emberton; step-brother, Oliver Pirtle; sisters, Bea Ashburn, Emma Nash, Sarah Turner, and Margie Stamps; and a step-sister, Pauline Horton.
