"Julie Rumpca Landsom My Uncle Bill. When I was little. I thought that was his name. I still do. Not many kids get to skip down the block to Uncle Bill and Aunt Betty's house. I played there, had supper there, never got in trouble there (the boys did), was there when Uncle Bill came home from work, walking up the back sidewalk, sitting on the front porch, Uncle Bill's chair, tomatoes in the garden, Uncle Bill in the garage fixing something, everyone watching tv in the living room, and on and on are the memories. I always got a smile and little hug from Uncle Bill. And the the cologne thing is a "Rumpca" thing. I think he was born with that hair cut, for I only remember his perfectly in place. Uncle Bill would mention how proud he was of his kids. I know that feeling, wanting to make your "Rumpca" dad proud. A scary memory, the only one, was when his arm was hurt at work. I didn't completely understand, but I remember crying in my room. But my Uncle Bill was strong. The Rumpca's (all of us) are strong. Dear God give us the strength we need at this time and forever. I love you, Uncle Bill. Would you give Joshua Carl a kiss for me?"
