Barry V. Wigton
January 14, 1942 - February 26, 2018

Wigton, Barry V., age 76, of Saunderstown, RI and Rotonda West, FL passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2018 at Englewood Community hospital (Englewood FL).
Born on January 14, 1942 in Boyers, PA, to the late Earl V. and Mary Helen (Bell) Wigton, he graduated from Slippery Rock H.S. (PA) in 1959 and immediately enlisted in the USAF, retiring as master sergeant in 1979. After 30 plus years in facilities management, industrial sales of electrical equipment, energy, and mechanical systems, he retired from Multi-State Electric as their business development manager, where he continued on as a consultant. Barry was a past president of the Association for Facilities Engineering, RI Chapter. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing music with his family. Known affectionately to his family as The Amazing Barry, he could seemingly fix anything. He was strongly dedicated to the wellbeing of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife Marion L. (Beaudin), three loving children Theresa Young (RI), Michele Wigton (RI) and her fiancé Scott Andrews, and Todd Wigton (PA), five cherished grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Harriett Grossman (Gerald) of PA, brother Kevin Wigton (MI) and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at RI Veterans' Cemetery, Exeter, RI at a later date. Any charitable donations are requested to be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at: woundedwarriorsproject.org.
