"I am a high school classmate of Gary. We spent a lot of time together back then. I still think of him often and was saddened when I heard he had passed so young. One memory that stands out, a story you may not know, was Gary bought a Pontiac Tempest that he was very proud of. Awesome car. It was sold to him as having a 3 speed transmission. One day he discovered it had yet another gear, it was a 4 speed with a 326 V8 so was essentially a GTO. He was ecstatic as only Gary could be. So sorry for your loss...I wish I had known in time to come to the visitation. Dean W. Brouwer class of 1970 Aplington"
