Glendon Jervis, 90, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Tuesday, March, 6, 2018, at Unity Point Health in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1011 S 3rd Avenue, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown has been entrusted with arrangements. Glen was born on August 11, 1927, in Elliott, IA. He graduated from Elliott High School in 1945. Glen attended Iowa State College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering in 1953. On October 3, 1954, Glen was united in marriage to Diane Bennett at First Lutheran Church in Manchester, IA. They were blessed with three children. Glen was cited by two Iowa governors for his volunteer work with SHIIP Iowa (State of Iowa Senior Health Insurance Information Program). He served as president of Marshalltown Kiwanis and was a treasurer and officer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. He was an avid golfer and tennis player and enjoyed spending time with his golf buddies, the "Garbage Gang".
Glen will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Diane; his three children, Mark Jervis of Marshalltown, Mitchell Jervis of Black Hawk, CO, and Amanda (Greg) Jervis McGrew of Boulder, CO; and a grandson, Reece Jervis Titus. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
