Candis Elizabeth Royals
September 2, 1934 - March 6, 2018

Candis Elizabeth (Chandler) Royals, Momma, went home to the Lord on March 6, 2018, at the age of 83.

Momma was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, James Albert Royals, her parents, Grover E. Van Chandler and Hattie Mildren (Green) Chandler, one brother, Grover Chandler, and one sister, Catherine Smith.

Momma is survived by her four children, James M. (Kathy) Royals, Mary Joyce (Jeff) Peters, Stacy Elizabeth Royals, Amy Caryn (Anthony) Welch, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Norma Jones, Carolyn Johnson, Jane Craft, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Momma was born in Mineral Springs, Ms. On September 2, 1934. She attended school in Taylorsville, Ms. After settling in Laurel, Ms., she worked for many years, and retired from West Quality Foods, where she worked in the business office.

Momma loved her family, and worked hard to help provide a loving home. Momma and Daddy taught their children the value of hard work, responsibility, kindness, and good manners. Momma's meals were simple, but always so good, especially her biscuits, which were always ready for breakfast. Momma enjoyed reading books, helping in the garden, and always, she enjoyed her family.

Visitation will be March 9, 2018 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon, at Memory Chapel, 3100 Audubon Drive, Laurel, Ms.

Services will be from Memory Chapel at 12 noon. Burial will be at Union Line Cemetery in Soso, Ms. following services. Pallbearers will be nephews Bill Chandler, Howard Chandler, Ernest Chandler, Ken Smith, Roger Smith, and Dean Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.

Momma will be greatly missed. She was a shining example of Motherly love.
