In loving memory of

Helen Marie (Hoffman) Tyner
September 18, 1925 - February 28, 2018

Helen Marie (Hoffman) Tyner, 92 of Carmel, died on February 28th, 2018. Helen was born on September 18, 1925 in Carmel, IN, in the house of the farm her parents bought. Her parents were Karl and Agnes (Graves) Hoffman. Helen graduated from Carmel High School in 1943. After changing careers a couple times she ended up as a floor controller at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and worked there until she retired. She was also a very proficient vocal and piano instructor, and inspired many students. She spent her entire life running the family farm, and continued to do so until she developed arthritis. Helen married John Tyner and they had a beautiful daughter Sunday. Sunday had two children, Hayden and Sabine, and Helen was blessed enough to spend her final moments with both of her grandchildren at her side. Helen's big smile and witty sense of humor took her far in life and made her many friends. She was a wonderful woman, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Helen's final wishes were for her friends and family to join together at the family farm, share a good laugh, and to drink strawberries and champagne.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Helen's remarkable life on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 2 - 6p.m. at the family farm: 2135 W. 146th St. Carmel, IN 46074. Dress is business casual.

"Helen was an absolute joy. Her vivacity, humor, knowledge and caring were so very special. When I gaze upon her smiling face, without even thinking about it,I burst into a large grin. Truly a great woman. Alan and Barbara {Brookie) White The Herb Barn W. 146th Street"
