Dr. and Mrs. Patrick J. Oster wrote on Mar 10, 2018:

"Gary and I were stationed together in the United States Air Force, Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, Florida. Everyone loved Gary. He was always volunteering to help. He certainly had the gift of service. He really believed and lived, "Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all thy might." We have lost a dear friend that was closer than a brother. We will miss his regular phone calls with his cadence voice and infectious laugh. When he would ask for advice he always wanted to know, "what would Jesus want him to do." He was always striving to balance a disciplined life with kindness and generosity. You are all in our prayers at this time, especially Jerry. "

"Molly and I knew Gary when we were in the Air Force at Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, Fort Walton, Beach, Florida. Gary was a man of Christian character, loved his friends, and was always available with a handling hand. We pray for the family as you adjust to Gary's Home going. God Bless."

"Losing you brother is going to leave a hole in my heart. I am sorry that we lived quite a distance from each other which prevented seeing each other more often. It appears that you did not suffer and I am thankful for that. I know you are in the loving arms of our savior Jesus Christ, so that gives me peace knowing the Lord will take care of you. "

This is a very difficult time for you and your extended family. We send our prayers and condolences. It's a blessing to know that Gary and Pam will enjoy eternal rest and perpetual light with God whom they loved and served in this life. "
