Nancy A. (Crist) Thiel, age 78, of Treynor, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha. Nancy was born on July 27, 1939, in Douds, Iowa, to the late Jaye and Kathleen (Ruble) Crist. She graduated from Treynor High School in 1957. Nancy married Donald Thiel on April 11, 1958 (he was the football and basketball star and she was the cheerleader). Nancy was a member of Zion Congregational Church in Treynor and was past Worthy Matron of Silver City O.E.S. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Donald Thiel (2007). Survivors include daughter, Teressa and Shane Brookshire of Omaha; son, Matthew and Amie Thiel of Treynor; 4 grandchildren, Jayedon Thiel, Lucy Thiel, Jude Thiel and Beau Thiel; brother, James and Leslie DeMarsh Daoust Crist of Council Bluffs; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
