Robert E. Peckett
July 12, 1928 - March 7, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert E Peckett "Bob" announces his passing after a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 89 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Carmen Peckett and his daughters, Ellen Lewis (Larry), Patricia Heck (Joseph), Colleen Bruce, and Michele Purcell (Kevin).
Bob will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Catherine, Stephanie, Jonathan, Megan, Zachary, Jacob, Megan, Austin, Molly, Morgan, Madison, and his 1st great granddaughter Nevaeh.
Bob was born July 12, 1928 in Freeport, NY predeceased by his parents James and Annie Mae Peckett and his siblings Edith, Jimmy, Helen, Lillian and survived by his sister Mary Slovak.
Bob served his country with the US NAVY then later started his own plumbing business in Long Island, NY. He moved his family to Port Charlotte, FL in 1972 continuing his career in plumbing. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, building, cooking, wood working but most of all spending time with his family. Bob was very devoted to his family, loyal, giving and would never say no if you needed him. Favorite quote "Family is the most important thing". We are very fortunate to have such an amazing man in our life and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation Friday, March 9, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 P.M. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte. Florida
