Minerva Lee Robinson Stringer, 90, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS.
She was born April 28, 1927, in Laurel, MS. She was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was an avid fisherman and gardener. It was often said that "She could catch a fish out of a mudhole!"
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Sanford and Dollie Adell Robinson, a sister, Geneva Robinson, two brothers, Lavon and Otto Robinson, and her husband of 57 years, O.C. Stringer.
She is survived by her son, Edward (Diane) Stringer, her granddaughter, Lacey (Greg) Mills, her grandson, Douglas (Megan) Stringer, her great grandson, Blake Stringer, all of Laurel, her sister, Verba Lee Terry of Violet, LA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Rev. Wallace Beasley will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Billiot, Bobby Bush, Terry Bush, Sherrill Clark, Greg Mills, and Vince Spradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Bush, Ralph Kenney, and Albert Short.
