Nettie Marie Clear
August 9, 1914 - March 8, 2018

Nettie Clear, age 103, of Fort Collins went to be with her Lord on March 8, 2018.
Nettie was born on August 9, 1914 in Sheridan County, KS. She was the second oldest child of 13 children born to Herb and Mae Lewis. She married James T. Clear on September 27, 1931 in Hill City, KS. They moved to Ft. Collins in 1935 from Kansas. She owned her own beauty shop (The Beauty Spot) and later she and her husband moved to Buena Vista, CO where she owned and operated another Beauty Spot. After retiring she and James moved back to Fort Collins to be near family.
Nettie spent several years working with the Work Day Ladies at First Christian Church making quilts for the needy of Fort Collins. She received the Channel 7 "Hero of the Week" award for the work she had done with the Work Day Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, a son, Gerald, a daughter, Evelyn and her husband Robert, a granddaughter, Carolyn Jo, a great grandson, Daniel James, six brothers, Elbert, Francis, Harold, David, John, Herbert "Chub" and five sisters, Stella, Nona, Doris, Joyce, Vonnie.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Goodall, her son, Virgil Clear and his wife Jean, daughter-in-law Norma Clear, grandchildren: Cheryl Brogden, Kim Brdlick, Leslie Hedge, Mike Goodall, Scott Goodall, Susan Bishop, Kelly Clear, Jay Clear, Melissa Clear Smith, Jana Gallatin, Leonard Gallatin, Lori Gallatin, 19 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7:00pm until 8:30pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Allnutt Funeral Service-Drake Chapel, Fort Collins.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from the chapel of Allnutt Funeral Service-Drake Chapel, Fort Collins with a reception to follow.

Private family graveside interment will be held.

The family requests donations to Godd Samaritan, Fort Collins.
