"To the Spiro family. My heart broke at the news of Cory's passing. Cory was a childhood friend on Staten Island as I was fortunate to have worked for her Grandfather and became like family. So many great memories working for and with the Spiro. I also worked for American Sirlines and was so happy to reconnect with Cory later in our careers. "When God lets special angels and people cross our paths in life, you know it immediately! Sweet CoryLee was one of those people. I have been privileged and blessed to have called her friend and to have thoroughly and selfishly enjoyed every morsel of time with her when we flew together. She always spoke about her family with love and she displayed that love to everyone who knew her. My face always hurt from laughing because her humor was only one of her amazing traits. She was the consummate professional when working. She loved what she did and did it with aplomb. Sadly that luster is gone from flying - she is gone but her brilliant light shines on. She will be missed but never forgotten. You don't forget angels especially when they touch you before they even get their wings. We will all look to the sky and see you Cory. Thank you for blessing me with your friendship and love dear heart. My sympathy and love to your mom and family. "Your Dix" Pixie Healy"

""Our concern for the loss of our friends is not always from a sense of their worth, but rather of our own need of them and that we have lost some who had a good opinion of us." -Francois de la Rochefoucauld "Painful though parting be, I bow to you as I see you off to distant clouds." -Emperor Saga Please accept my condolences. Cory was an exceptional person. I met her flying JFK to Paris. She always inspired me with her grit, courage, and zest for life. We had some amazing times drinking wine and enjoying Paris. I always felt blessed to fly with her and be able to tag a long to the best restaurants. She was such a fixture it is difficult to realize we shall never cross paths here on earth again. Wishing her family courage and peace. "
