MARCELLA GROSS
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Marcella R. Gross, 89, formally of Portage, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Lutheran Living.
Per Marcella's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Marcella was born on September 28, 1928, in Loganville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ammon and Sevoy (Miller) Ness. She married David Gross on April 20, 1946.
She enjoyed playing bridge, listening to music, playing golf, and especially enjoyed the concerts at Ardon Creek.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Sharon Kapteina and husband, Roy, of Muscatine; one granddaughter, Kari Palutis and husband, Dave, of Wentzville, Missouri; a great-granddaughter, Ella Palutis; one sister, Sylvia Welsh and husband, Donald, of York, Pennsylvania; a brother, Llewellyn Ness and wife, JoAnn, of York, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2010, and a niece and nephew.
