Robert (Bob) Bruce Chuy, 74, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Mantoloking, NJ, passed away March 8, 2018 in Fort Lauderdale. Bob was born in Irvington, NJ on December 23, 1943 to Philip and Mae Chuy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Philip Chuy, Jr of North East, MD. Bob is survived by his loving wife Linda of 49 years, his daughter Cara (Michael) Tripp, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, his son Rob (Bethanie) Chuy of Frisco, TX, and granddaughter Carleigh Tripp.
Bob graduated from Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ in 1965, and spent several years skiing in Aspen, CO before settling in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1972. Bob was a Yacht Broker for 40 years, and enjoyed spending summers at his home in Mantoloking, NJ, sailing on Barnegat Bay and spending time with his family.
A private memorial service will be held this summer in New Jersey.
