MONTELLO-Ron Jacob, age 74, of Montello, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2018. He was a proud UW Madison Alumnus and loved more than anything spending time at Badger football and men's and women's hockey games with friends and family. Gopher and Bears fans knew to expect a call after a Badgers or Packers win, and to be the target of his jokes and banter. He also enjoyed decades with his family at Tuttle Lake, and hunting on the 40. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Ron is survived by his children, Michelle, Michael (Getch) and Jason (Liz); step-children, Grant and Jill (Nicholas); grandchildren, Marc (Ashlee), Kaylene, Kyle, Corey and Sarah; great-grandson, Lucas; siblings, Linda (Bill) and Tom (Sharon); nieces, Julie (Jivko) and Lisa (Parish) and their families; the Wellensteins; and his furry companion, Shay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Dorthy. A private fish fry celebration in his honor will be held at JEFF'S RIVERS EDGE, Montello, on Friday, March 23, 2018. Additional friends are welcome to join the celebration beginning at 7 p.m. Please wear your red or green and gold, you know he would not want to see anything else.
