Joyce S. Collins
March 22, 1927 - March 11, 2018

MONONA-Joyce S. Collins, age 90, of Monona, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Heritage Monona. She was born on March 22, 1927, in Green Bay, The daughter of Norman and Antoinette (Rondou) Shampo.  She attended Layton Art School in Milwaukee.  During her time in Milwaukee, she met the love of her life, Earl Collins and they were married on Oct. 4, 1947, in Green Bay. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage.  Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband, Earl.  She was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed tennis, skiing, walking her dogs and winters on the Gulf Coast.  Joyce is survived by her son, Steven (Ann) Collins; daughter, Patricia Collins (Brian DaValt);  four grandchildren, Dustin (Colleen) Maly, Jessica Maly, Megan (Joe) Sukowatey and Michael Collins; four great-grandchildren, Vincent Maly, Nolan and Olivia Sukowatey and Cecilia Maly; brothers, Marc and Bruce Shampo; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; sisters, Norma  Demarais and Joan Deruzier; and brothers, George and James Shampo. Celebration of Life will be held at HERITAGE SENIOR LIVING, 111 Owen Rd., Madison, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 17, 2018. 3/22Private burial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Joyce's name to Agrace HospiceCare.  The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Senior Living and Agrace HospiceCare for the outstanding care for Joyce.
