Zona Mae Henrichs
August 10, 1930 - March 16, 2018

Zona Mae Henrichs 87, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Southfield Wellness Community, Webster City, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home
Zona Mae Rossow was born August 10, 1930 at her family farm near Lohrville, IA. She was the daughter of John Harold Rossow and Fay Leota (McCloud) Rossow.
Zona was raised at the family farm with her two older brothers, Blair and Donald. She was a cheerleader and played basketball at Lohrville High School. She graduated in 1949.
Although Zona and Edward grew up on farms four miles apart, they first met in high school riding the school bus.
Zona Mae Rossow married Edward Clark Henricks of Adaza, IA on June 11, 1950 at her parent's farm. They were married almost 68 years. Zona and Edward are the parents of James Edward and Donna Mae.
Edward and Zona helped at his family farm and worked in Fort Dodge before starting to farm near Lanesboro, IA in the fall of 1953. They farmed five years near Jewell, IA and two years near Williams and Union, IA. In 1965 they returned to Williams to buy the farm. They lived there for over 50 years.
Zona worked at the Ellsworth Turkey Plant and taught Sunday School while living in Jewell. She kept busy raising Jim and Donna and working with Edward on the farm. She made time to be at all Jim and Donna's school and sports functions. She was a fantastic cook and family favorites were her chicken and noodles and rhubarb or cherry pie. Her favorite times were family reunions, celebrating holidays and birthdays. Zona always made an annual trip to Omaha to celebrate Donna's birthday. Decorating before Memorial Day was also very important to her.
Zona passed away March 16, 2018 at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City, IA. She had moved there July 1, 2014.
Zona was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Fay Rossow; brothers, Blairs (Doris) and Donald (Marilee) Rossow.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Henrichs of Williams; her children, James Henrichs of Williams, IA, Donna Mae (Al) Anderson of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Edward (Rachelle Faas) Clayton, Chris (Jennifer) Henrichs, Katie Mae (Nathan) Kraemer, Shane (Kate) Clayton, Tim (Brittany) Henrichs; 11 great-grandchildren, Christian, Taylor, Tatum, Evan, Cash, Ryan, Ethan, Maddi, Macy, Kingston, and Oaklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
Following the funeral please join the family for lunch and fellowship at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center Luncheon Hall.
