Margaret McGannon
June 13, 1935 - March 18, 2018

Margaret V. "Peggy" McGannon, of Berkeley Township, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Peggy moved to New Jersey in the late 90's after retiring from the Sisters of Mercy in Brooklyn as a nurse.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary McGannon as well as her siblings Patrick McGannon and his wife Gloria, Mary Theresa Kearns and her husband Robert and Agnes D'Ambrosio and her husband Thomas "Danny." Surviving are her brothers John McGannon and his wife Patricia and William McGannon and his wife Maureen and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM and again from 7PM to 9PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Berkeley Township, Toms River. Please meet at the church as there will not be a procession from the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.

Campbell Haggerty and Godmother to my niece Noel. Had lunch in December. She was a wonderful lady and I so regret missing her wake and funeral. Rest in Peace."
