Harris Gausman, 93, of Latimer, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.
He was born August 29, 1924, in Morris, Minnesota, to Emil Henry Gausman and Kate (Heick) Gausman. Harris graduated from high school in Morris, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Betty Thielen on December 28, 1983, in Webster City, Iowa. Harris was a farmer and worked for Farm Bureau as an agent and adjuster. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Hampton, Iowa. Harris enjoyed golfing, crocheting and baking.
Harris is survived by his wife Betty Gausman of Latimer, daughter Kate Gausman, son Paul Gausman, son Philip (Joyce) Gausman, step-grandson Grayne Bakker and his children Hudson and Marlowe, step-granddaughter Sarah Bakker, half-brother Jerry (Doris) Gausman and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Mona Gausman and step-daughter Debbie (Greg) Bakker.
