Wilhelmine F. Risius
May 15, 1919 - March 31, 2018

Wilhelmine Frieda Risius was born May 15, 1919, in Kossuth County, Iowa to Henry and Marie (Boyken) Mayland. She attended rural school in German Township. Wilhelmine was married to Frank Risius at Immanuel Lutheran Church on February 21, 1947. They lived on a farm southwest of Buffalo Center all her married life until they moved into Buffalo Center in 1979. Wilhelmine entered the Timely Mission Nursing Home in September 2010, where she passed away on March 31, 2018, at the age of 98.

Wilhelmine was a dedicated member of the Ramsey Reformed Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and painting. She was a volunteer at TMNH, helping with crafts for many years and was a friend to many of the residents and staff.

She is survived by her son, Les and Beverly Risius of Marshalltown; her daughter, Marilee and Stan Siemens of Buffalo Center; six grandchildren, Adam and Becky Risius, Sarah and Jeremy Harris, Scott and Jessica Siemens, Ben Siemens, Laine and Brad Matson, Rebecca and Aaron Schwartz; nine great-grandchildren, Lydia, Amelia and Elaine Harris, Colin and Reid Siemens, Ethan, Monroe and Victor Matson and Denver Schwartz; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wilhelmine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2001; parents, three brothers, George Mayland, Fred Mayland, and Carl (Irene) Mayland; and five sisters, Anna (Ubbe) Meyer, Marie (Andrew) Risius, Louise (Meindert) Dirksen, Irene (Bernard) Schmidt and Ione (Arnold) Helmers; and Frank's eight brothers, an infant brother, Klaas (Fannie) Risius, Menno Risius, George (Anna) Risius, John (Marian) Risius, Harm (Mabel) Risius, Bennie Risius, and Andrew (Marie) Risius.
