Gloria C. Mahmens, 86, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center - East Campus. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family and performing the cremation.
Gloria Colleen Langfitt was born August 3, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Bill and Catherine (Gool) Langfitt. She was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Earl Mahmens on February 5, 1949; he preceded her in death in July 2005.
She worked as a waitress for many years. She worked for Gracey's Palmer House, Woody's Renedezous and most recently at the Moose Lodge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church - Clinton and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading, loved to travel and had a great sense of humor.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Cindi Kelly of Clinton, one grandson Brian (Tracie) Kelly of Wheatland, Wyoming, five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one sister Kristine Rhodes of Durango, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death the by her husband, daughter Cathy, one sister, one brother, and her parents.
