Dolores Eileen Koss

Dolores Eileen Koss, 87, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 12 th, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport. Services in celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm Thursday, March 15th at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, with Pastor Tony Liston officiating. Her family will greet friends from 1-3 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Koss was born in 1930 in Muscatine, Iowa to Arthur and Viola Pauly. She married Donald R .Koss on August 13, 1949 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. He preceded her in death May 17, 2006. She devoted her life to making a loving home for her family and attended Adventure Christian Community Church. She was an active bowler for over 40 years with WIBC, a member of the 600 Club and Alcoa Retirees Club. Dolores enjoyed bike riding on trails throughout the Midwest, playing bingo with her daughters and friends, golfing with her husband and grandchildren, making special greeting cards, knitting and in earlier years, teaching ceramics with her husband in their home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them all dearly.
Survivors include her children Corrin (Gary) Hentzel, Bona Bradley, Don (Connie) Koss and Jan (Tim) Logsdon; grandchildren Christine (Christopher) Neff, Michelle (Eric) Dobson, Sarah Bradley, Rob Hentzel, Darin (Traci) Logsdon, Donnie (Michelle) Koss, Steve Logsdon, Kim (Ty) Johnson, Bridget (Nick) Harper and Melissa (Broday) Walker; great-grandchildren Lizzy Bradley, Rileigh and Brooklyn Logsdon, Owen, Brady and Carson Dobson, Madelyn, Jael and Layne Logson, Colsen and Annalyn Neff, Miles and Quinn Harper and Emmy Grace Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Jean Dempsey and Lois Kepford and a son-in-law Gary Bradley.
