Sara S. Barger, 76, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House - Bettendorf, Iowa.
Memorial Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time at the church. Sara Susan Crum was born on December 30, 1941 in Clay Center, Kansas the daughter of Dr. Collins and Marjory (Kiger) Crum. She was a 1959 graduate of Eureka High School in Eureka, Kansas. She later attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Kansas State University in 1963. She married Phillip Barger on August 3, 1963 in Eureka, Kansas.
Sara taught school in Columbus, Indiana before moving to Clinton Iowa to work with her husband at Gateway Marble Company.
Sara was a member of First United Methodist Church - Clinton, Kappa Kappa Gama, PEO, and loved to play bridge.
Sara is survived by her husband: Phillip of Clinton; her children: Christy Klug of Chicago, Illinois, David (Tina) Barger of Tucson, Arizona, and Tory (Brian) Parsons of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four grandchildren, and her brother: Dr. David (Betty) Crum of Augusta, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society or the First United Methodist Church.
