Ray and his wife Polly enjoyed many camping trips to Door County and Ray treasured the time spent with son, Jon on Canadian fishing trips along with fly-fishing trips to Wyalusing State Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Ray looked forward to visits with his daughter, Rachel and her family. He loved telling her stories and family history and keeping up with his grandchildren's activities and accomplishments via Facebook. He was very proud of them all.

In earlier days he spent many happy days sailing on Big Butternut Lake in Luck and later on Lake Mendota in Madison.
Ray loved watching Badger football and basketball, the Packers and the Brewers. One of his favorite things was listening to classic early rock and roll music from the 1950's.
