Eleanor LaRose Walker Singleton, 79, of the Sharon Community, Laurel, MS passed from this life on April 9, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on March 12, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of the Sharon Community. She married C. C. Singleton December 3, 1955 and had two sons and one daughter. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
She is survived by her loving son, Acie Duane Singleton; daughter, Eugenia Joann Singleton Hill; daughter-in-law, Clara Nanette Hodge Singleton; sisters, Gayle Walker Pitts and Rae G. Nell Walker Gray; brother, Roger Dale Walker; granddaughter, Suzette Singleton Sullivan; grandsons, Dexter Conrad Singleton and Jason Emanuel Reid; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, C. C. Singleton; son, Cecil Anthony "Tony" Singleton; father, William A. Walker; mother, Jessie Mae King Walker; sister, Mary Lucille Walker Myers, and brother William Jay Walker.
Services are at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Bro. Matt Olson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ned Walker, Dexter Singleton, Jason Reid, Tracy Pitts, Spencer Walker, and Gene Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Pitts and J. B. Pitts.
