MUSCATINE, Iowa - Roberta 'Bertie' Mills, 87, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Lutheran Living Senior Campus.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the American Legion following the committal service.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Debbie McCallister.
Roberta was born on May 28, 1930, in Muscatine, the daughter of Charles W. and Anna Marie Juhl Curry. She married Milton 'Milty' Mills on November 24, 1951, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2012.
Those left to honor her memory include one son, James Mills and wife, Sylvia, of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Debra McCallister and husband, Mike, of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Rudy Solis III, Tabatha Urech and husband, Brandon, and Casey McCallister; and three great-grandchildren, Katherine, Jack, and George Urech.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Harold, Charles, Clarence, George, Jim, and Vern Curry, Mildred Klebe, Doris Engle, Esther Pankratz, and Margaret Shoppa.
