Barbara J. Harrison
May 26, 1936 - April 7, 2018

Barbara Jean Johnson Harrison was born on May 26, 1936 to Mary E. Lewis and Ulsysses Johnson in Owensboro, KY. At age 8 Mom and Bobbie as she was affectionately called by family and friends relocated to Indianapolis where she was enrolled in school 42. She later went to schools 23, 17 & Crispus Attucks.
In 1962 she was united in Holy Matrimony to William O. Harrison Sr. (Pete) who proceeded her in death. Two children were born to this union Eric & Aricia (Resee). Barbara was employed at RCA for thirteen years. Barbara later attended Indiana Business College and earned a degree in Business. She later became a Purchasing Agent at the Army Finance & Accounting Center where she received a numerous awards for her job performance. Barbara was also a member of the Federal Women's Program.
Barbara loved to go to church, sing, play cards travel and bowl although she was not good at bowling she had fun trying (smile with me) but she had fun. Barbara was also a breast cancer survivor. Barbara was called home to be with the Lord on April 7th, 2018.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her mother Mary E. father Ulysses, sister Anna Louise McLayea.
Survivors, Eric A. Harrison Sr., Aricia L. Harrison (Resee), Step Son William O. Harrison Jr. (Pookie), Step daughter Carnetta (Kay) Anderson. Two grand children, Eric A. Harrison Jr., Chenessa Rayburn (Robert) and two great grandchildren Julian and Ethan, Sister Mary E. Brown (Willie). Mary Troutman (Sylvester), Carol McLayea, Almedia Phipps, Alice McLayea, Garfield McLayea & Joseph McLayea. Special friends: Norma Gill, Barbara Coleman, Gerri Stribling, Vickie Peoples & Da'Net Jackson.
