Jane E. Wiencek
November 14, 1919 - April 12, 2018
Jane E. (Piotrowski) Wiencek, born in Mt. Carmel, PA, on November 14, 1919, passed away peacefully at Keystone Villa in Douglassville Thursday, April 12, 2018. She also resided in Ridley Park, PA Chesterfield, MO, Newcastle, WA, and Fleetwood, PA.
Born to Leon and Maryanna (Karwacka) Piotrowski, she was married to Anthony S. Wiencek for forty-one years until his passing in 1996. Jane graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents and five older siblings and their spouses. Jane was a seamstress, "Kelly Girl", and volunteer. She and Tony dedicated their lives to family, friends, and the Catholic Church. They were longtime members of St. Madeline's Church, Ridley Park, PA.
Jane is survived by her two children; Anthony J. (Tony), husband of Cathleen M. (Cathie Readdy) Wiencek of Fleetwood, PA, and daughter, Mariann E. Parasida, wife of Anthony (Tony) Parasida of Newcastle, WA.
She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Anthony R. Wiencek, husband of Brittany (Cooney) Wiencek, Cathleen J. (Wiencek) Cordova, wife of Daniel Cordova, Michael Wiencek, Christopher Wiencek, Brian Parasida, husband of Laura (Ray) Parasida, and Sarah (Parasida) Omiliak, wife of Brian Omiliak, Three great grandchildren Cathleen (Callie), Alexander and Benjamin Cordova, and many loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605.
Family will receive friends at Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Guardian Angels Church on Friday at 10:30 A.M. On Saturday at 11:00 A.M. a graveside service will be held (open to all family and friends) at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
