Dale A. Mabbitt, age 71, passed away April 13, 2018, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Dale was born October 29, 1946, in Council Bluffs to the late Everett "Bud" and Donna (Rease) Mabbitt and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. Dale proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. His working career was at Weyerhaeuser Lumber, serving as Operations Manager. Dale is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Honey Creek. Dale is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Mabbitt; sons, Kevin and wife, Julianne of Papillion, Neb., Tim and wife, Kendra of Omaha; five grandchildren, Emily, Eli, Ethan, Lani, and Lynden; sister, Dorothy Allen of Council Bluffs; brothers, Michael Mabbitt and wife, Wanda of New York, Clarence "Buzz" Brockey of Council Bluffs, Jerry Brockey of Arizona; sister, Jean Brown of Washington; nieces and nephews.
