Richard R. Lerma passed away in San Angelo, TX on Sunday, April 22, 2018, after a short illness.
Richard was born on April 3, 1943 in Midland, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Damas and Patricia Lerma; and his wife, Lennette Lerma.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Maria Estrada of Stanton, TX, Angelita Baesa, Ernestina Reyes, Beatriz Gonzales, Bernadina Perez and Lucia Lerma, all of Midland, TX. Richard will be missed dearly by his children, Cory Lerma of San Angelo, TX, Cody Rogers of Caledonia, MS, Ann Sanchez of San Angelo, TX; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren; and multiple friends.
Richard enjoyed and was gifted in mechanical repairs, foremost being his achievement of being a Master Plumber. He was always pleased to help family and friends in these areas, to the point of leaving a strong legacy of his teaching and mentoring. He was always willing to lend his expertise and help people in need. He is fondly remembered by those he helped over the decades.
Services are pending with Shaffer Funeral home/Sherwood Way.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Quail Valley Fire Department or Hospice of San Angelo.
