Mary C. Tallman, 77, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Monday morning, April 30, 2018, at her home in Maquoketa, Iowa.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be at Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.
Mary Catherine Wheeler was born on June 19, 1940 in Iowa to Samuel and Trula (Elliot) Wheeler.
Mary married Bill Dague on June 22, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa. They divorced and she later married Edward H. Tallman on May 2, 1974 in Galena, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1992.
Mary had worked at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, and later as an in-home health care provider. She enjoyed playing bingo and euchre.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Mary Goodwin of Maquoketa, IA, William (Melissa) Dague of Center Point, IA, Steven Dague of Farmington, MN, Debra (Clay) Johnson of Baldwin, IA, Robert (Dona) Dague of Garrison, IA, and Stephanie Tallman of Maquoketa, Iowa; 26 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward and her former husband Bill, a son Richard Dague, and 2 grandchildren Jamie Lea Vohringer and Scot Michael Meader.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Mary Catherine Tallman memorial fund has been established.
