Vincent Stuhrenberg
July 21, 1932 - May 2, 2018

Vincent H. Stuhrenberg, 85, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Clare passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Clare where military rites will be presented by the VFW Post 1856 and U.S. Army Honor Guard. Visiting hours will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, with a Vigil at 8:00 p.m. all at Sacred Heart Church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Vincent Henry Stuhrenberg was born July 21, 1932 to Clem and Matilda (Hessler) Stuhrenberg. He grew up in
Duncombe attending Duncombe schools graduating in l950. In 1952 to 1954, he spent time in the Army in Korea. On November 8, 1958 he married Mary Ellen Wilson at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They made their home on a farm in Clare raising five children. Vincent retired from farming in 2001. He is a member of Holy Trinity Parish.
Vincent is survived by his wife, children, Dennis (Kim) of Clare; Kevin (Donna) of Sergeant Bluff; Alan (Tammy) Of Sergeant Bluff; Dianna Page (Lance) of Liberty, MO; Steven (Jodie) of Salix; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Maurice Stuhrenberg of Charlotte, NC; Bernard Stuhrenberg; Mary Husske; Helen Rathouz; Lucille Petersen; Marie Stuhrenberg; and Elisabeth Lawler all of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alvin Stuhrenberg; sister, Dorothy Husske; infant sister, Louisa Stuhrenberg; infant grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Stuhrenberg.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
